Greenhouse Effect
    

D. Keeling began taking regular measurements of the concentration of carbon dioxide concentration in the Earth's atmosphere in 1957. He found a clear systematic increase superimposed on a seasonal variation. In late 1995, a United Nations panel declared that the temperature record of the preceding century shows an unambiguous presence of global warming.
