Old Moon in the New Moon's Arms
    

The Moon in its waxing gibbous Moon phase where the gibbous part is illuminated slightly by Earthshine (reflected sunlit from the Earth). Thus, the bright crescent ("new moon") wraps around and "holds in its arms" the dim gibbous part ("old moon").
