Danish astronomer who first advanced the use of the absolute magnitude. Eric Weisstein's World of Astronomy He published a relationship between color and luminosity of stars, Eric Weisstein's World of Astronomy but his work remained unnoticed until it was rediscovered by Henry Russell.
