Neumann, John von (1903-1957)
    

Hungarian-American mathematician who showed in 1944 that Schrödinger's wave mechanics and Heisenberg's matrix mechanics were mathematically equivalent. He also developed game theory Eric Weisstein's World of Math in The Theory of Games and Economic Behavior (1944).
